The well-known campaigners for greater diversity within the fashion industry, Models of Diversity (MoD), has announced a competition to find the ‘Face of Shepherds Bush Market’ to take place on Saturday 12th September between 1pm and 4pm.
Ahead of London Fashion Week, MoD is giving local people the chance to embrace their inner fashionistas and become models for the day in a special fashion show event at Shepherds Bush Market on Saturday 3rd October. The catwalk will demonstrate the fashion offering of Shepherds Bush Market, including fabrics and garments chosen by a professional stylist and unveiled by dazzling models of all races, backgrounds, ages and sizes.
Open to everyone, the casting competition will be held in the New Market Area – most easily accessed from the Uxbridge Road end of the market- where a panel of judges will decide two entrants to become models for the catwalk show.
The winners will receive fierce catwalk training and a pampered photoshoot by MoD’s professional and experienced team, before dazzling the crowd on the big day in October. They will wear a number of catwalk collections and hidden gems from the garments, accessories, shoes and jewellery available from within the diverse market.
Shepherds Bush Market has long been famous for fabric and fashion, a tradition that goes back almost 100 years, and is right on London’s doorstep.
